The world of computers is synonymous with fast-paced development and change. Computers have practical use in almost every aspect of our lives, including industry, commerce, and medicine.
The curriculum of the Computer Science Department offers students theoretical background as well as practical experience in computes, which can be used in industry or business. The course provides a student with familiarity with programming, the architecture of computer systems, and engineering software and communications.
The Computer Science Department offers two B.Sc. degrees in engineering – Software Engineering and Communications Systems Engineering, which qualify the student to be registered in the Engineer's and Architects' Registry, and a B.Sc. degree in general Computer Science.
Software Engineering Faculty
Degree: Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)
Graduates are eligible for registration in the Architect's and Engineers' Registry
Within the framework of the department, the department, the student receives training in computer and software engineering, in programming and development of software, in inter-computer and network communication, in micro-processors and electronics.
The student will acquire knowledge for building systems- defining specification s and requirements, analysis, programming and construction, testing as well as follow-up after supply, upkeep and expanding the systems, while maintaining a set time frame and responsible working ethic, according to professional criteria and economic considerations.
The different engineering methods that are learned are culled from the vast experience of the lectures in industry and are designed to assist in the development of future systems and complex systems demanding quality and service.
