- Vaccination against MMTV associated breast cancer
Mouse Mammary Tumour Virus (MMTV) is a type B retrovirus associated with mammary carcinoma and lymphoma in laboratory mice. An increasing body of evidence in recent years supports an involvement of MMTV in about 37% of human breast cancers.
These findings suggest the use of p14 (the SP of MMTV) for vaccination and passive immunization against malignant cancers that harbor MMTV.
- Biological Applications of Ti(IV) Complexes
Ti(IV) complexes are promising anti-cancer agents showed high cytotoxic activity toward numerous cancer cell lines (NCI-60) and high stability in aqueous environment.
We examine the correlation between the complex properties: structure, hydrolytic stability and cytotoxicity in vitro and in vivo, revealing insights on the biological mechanism of their cytotoxicity, suggesting an apoptotic cell death pathway.
